I have tried to write a post a few times and blogger is telling me I am out of space and that I need to upgrade. While I love to write this blog, I am not going to pay to write when I don't make any money off of it.
Does anyone know of any way around upgrading to continue uploading pictures? If not, I guess my blog posts will become a lot more sparse and not vary exciting until we start the adoption process again.
I use Wordpress not Blogger so I'm not sure what the space allotment is but I've only used a very small % of my space. I think the trick is uploading small image file sizes. You only need images to be 72 dpi and probably 1000 pixels wide at the maximum. That makes the file size perfect for the blog and only uses a small bit of your memory. That's a solution for going forward. I'm not sure what your solution is for right now … delete images from old posts? Theoretically you could reduce the file size and reupload but that sounds like a big pain in the butt.
ReplyDeleteI just used up all mine too. I didn't know that could happen. I ended up paying it. Dave convinced me it wasn't that much. I just to upload all my pictures on tinypic.com then post them. I'm sure there are other ways but I'm no help.
ReplyDeleteDon't stop blogging!
No matter where you blog, you will run out of room eventually. It's wise to always upload your photos somewhere else and then just link them into your blog post. Try photobucket.com or even Picasa (Google's photos). I also agree with the previous comment about keeping file size smaller so you can keep ahead of your storage limits.
