Well, we got a referral for a sibling set. They will be coming here Friday and we hope it leads towards adoption. I don't know much beyond that. Soon, I will be a mother to 5 (until Sweet Potato leaves and then knocking it down to 4 :( In 1 year we went from 1 kid to 5. That's pretty awesome.
*****UPDATE- sike. they are going with a different family :(

Telling Honey
Today I told Honey that Sweet Potato will be going to a new home with a new momma. I didn't really think she would understand, but I do think she understood a little of what I was saying. She started getting whiney and said, "No S.P. stay home. Here with Pumpkin." I told her again, "No Honey. He is going to a new home with a new momma to love him. Maybe we will be allowed to visit." Again, she got really sad and it made me start to tear up. Pumpkin wasn't fazed by the conversation at all. But Honey and Sweet Potato have an amazing bond. He loves her just as much as she loves him. She kisses him at least 20 times a day. She tries to dance with him. She lets me know if he is crying (as if I didn't have ears to hear him). She is truly amazing and I am so proud to call her my daughter. I hope his transition will not stir any feelings of loss and I hope she knows that we are her forever momma and poppa. Our attachment is so great and I really didn't think it was an issue until we went to therapy and I realized she wasn't fully attached. It helped both of us grow a closer bond. I wish you all could meet her to realize how truly wonderful and sweet she really is. I'm not just saying that because I'm her mom. She really is wonderful.

Hair clips
Saturday night I made my first hair clip. Man am I addicted.

I know it's not the cutest one, but still it was super easy and it was my first one. I will get better. Thankfully this was eaten by Nigel overnight.
Next,

This one was lost in church...
So Sunday I busted out
My mom's favorite

and my favorite

my mom didn't like how uneven it was, but that's why I like it
Man do I love these girls

Hair / product review
After reading here about the Knot T*oday products, I had to try them. Honey's hair is THICK and frizzy and not very defined. That's why I had always done a braid out. After using this

I was amazed! She has curls! Defined, soft curls.
I then scrunched in
Here she is telling me, "no, no picture" with her fabulous new look.

How is this girls going to be a model if she doesn't embrace the camera?
Unlike this girl who embraces it a lot too much

Again, we need to work on this so they can have a well established college fund.
Back to the hair. She was in the pool, so I broke out the tan*gle teezr and applied. I anxiously waited for it to dry. I LOVED how it looked. Then I was anxiously awaiting how it would turn out in the morning, after a full nights rest. Well, that didn't fair as well. At least with the braidout the style will last a few days. Day 2 of style, day 1 of unbraided.

So, if I ever wash her hair during the day (which is almost never) I will use it. But now that we are going back down to 2 kids {at least until we get a referral} (Sweet Potato will be going to a new home :( ) I will have more time to play around. But for special occasions like weddings this is great. My braidouts can be a little unpredictable. Sometimes I don't make the zig zags strong enough and you can see the sections.

Punkin poo turns 2
I really, truly can't believe Pumpkin is 2. I never felt like she was a tiny baby. I mean, she could hold her head up right out of the womb. And I was so nervous about how we would come about finding her siblings that I don't really think I got to enjoy her tiny days. (Don't get me wrong. I enjoyed every second and every glance and every cry. But you know what I mean). Now that we "have" Sweet Potato I soak in all of his babyness. I feel like he has been a tiny baby forever. It really is a weird feeling. Anyway, back to Pumpkin. She cracks me up nearly every second of the day. I mean, sometimes she is even making me laugh when she is throwing a tantrum. I think that a pretty great gift. She lights up my life and she truly enjoys making others feel good. She may turn down a kiss, but she is always up for a laugh. She definitely has my personality. She is strong willed, but loves helping others. She will stand up for what's right. I have no doubt about that. She is not soft spoken. She is caring (especially to animals- lets hope she doesn't want a dog[s] and come to me about it. Otherwise we will have a zoo...again), she is generous (shares with her sister without being asked), she loves a cuddle (not 100% of the time, on her terms), she has an awesome fake laugh, and all around totally wonderful. I am so happy that on this birthday you had siblings to celebrate with. That was my wish and prayer for what seemed like forever. I love you, Honey, and Sweet Potato more than you could ever imagine and I would go through it all again in a heart beat just to have the amazing family that we do.
We started the day off by going to a local splash park.

Dig in!

I obviously didn't measure out the cake batter before dying it. I got the recipe from Our Best Bites

Forget the spoon

It looks really appetizing, doesn't it. haha

Can you believe two years ago I was freaking out over how we were going to come about our future children. 1 year ago we were rapping up our home study and before we got our license we were referred Honey! It all seems so insane.

I got some good ones of the three of them, that I obviously can't show.

Next up we had our grandparents party.

Too busy eating cake to blow out the candles

She loves her Jessie

V.A.C.A.T.I.O.N.
They LOVED every second of it.

No lipstick for this little lady

RUFFFIIIIOOOOOOOOOOO

DId Honey try to lick the dust? Probable

That flimsy rope did not keep Pumpkin in her seat. half way around she climbed out. They had to stop the train.

This little stinker was not pleasant on the car ride home. That is putting it nicely. Between Pumpkin and Sweet Potato, I was about to pull out all of my hair.

My stud of a husband drove both ways non stop.

If you would like to see more pictures leave a comment. (I have about 5000 pictures from the trip hahah)

Oh Pumpkin
Someone got a haircut :(

It was time I suppose

I miss it. I feel like she looks like a boy without it. hahahah HOw ridiculous is that.

One little Pumpkin ate, or put "lipstick" des*itin on

She wasn't just playing with the Des*tin. Notice the bird candles (one broke to bits and the other two with the markings scratched off) also notice the bits of torn up book all over the bed.

Don't worry a call to poison control happened. No action was required.
This all happened when she was completely silent. Let this be a lesson to all you new parents out there.

St(r)awberry
Tonight at dinner Pumpkin asked for stawberries. Honey was still eating the rest of her food and didn't ask for any so I just got them for Pumpkin.
I hand them to PUmpkin. "Thank you!"
Me: You're welcome
Honey: I want strawberries too
Me: "Pumpkin" can you please share some of your strawberries with your sister
Pumpkin then hands one strawberry to Honey. Honey takes it.
Honey: Thank you
Then Pumpkin willingly gives up her other strawberry without Honey asking for it
HOney: Thank you sisser
Pumpkin looking at Honey: stawberry??? Peeze
Honey then sticks her hand up in the air waves it like crazy and says: NO! My strawberries.
Well, at least one child gets the concept of sharing.

Forget the Tangle Teezr I guess a screwdriver is the new thing
