Our agency got a copy of our license today! I don't know what that means in terms of timelines, but hopefully we will get her soon (and if not this week, hopefully we will have a weekend visit- with overnights!!) I hope so!

Wishing she was here

Wishing she wasn't so far away and I could pick her up every day to spend it with us. We HOPE our license comes in this week, otherwise we will be driving a lot this weekend.

Melting Heart

not because of the heat. hahah But because I am SOOO in love. We had a visit with L this week and she is awesome! We were approved for day visits. AND... today our homestudy was or will be submitted to the county. We should have her forever within a couple of weeks. (God willing) She is sweet and has the best laugh in the world. She may beat mine. E and L are both used to being the baby, so some adjustment will need to happen. E stares at her lovingly and L will go up and hug her when she cries. L is funny and wild. E is more reserved and enjoys quiet time. They both LOVE food! hahah

Upset

We were supposed to have a visit this week, but that doesn't look like it's going to happen. How am I so over the Foster system when we technically haven't even started. I don't think I can do this again. This is horrible. I don't know how anyone can do it. I guess if you aren't looking to adopt then it's a different story. BLAH I just want our daughter!!!

Last night

Benefit Concert TONIGHT!

So, tonight is our benefit concert and we are so excited. We baked all night long
A HUGE thank you to Molly, Matt, and Leslie!!!!! We have 5 bands playing. It's going to be a lot of fun!

BIG NEWS!!!

I GET TO MEET HER LATER THIS WEEK!!!

Rain

Still no news, but we did a lot today (not really). M and I moved into our dinning room so we have an extra bedroom upstairs for a boy older than 4, or just another child in general. So today I got another fire inspection saying that both levels were ok to sleep on. Then we got L's bedding in the mail. We returned the toddler bedding and just went with a twin. It's the same hippo pattern, but when I opened it I realized there were no sheets. Just a comforter and pillow sham. So off to TJ Maxx. I couldn't wait to get L's bed completely together I didn't care that it was raining. There were limited options. But there were two cute ones ballerinas and hearts. Then, I realized all of the ballerinas were white, something I would have never paid attention to before. So, hearts it was. Afterwards we went to Jack's Aquarium. Beatrice loves "Dummies". We were in there for a while petting the rabbits, puppies, kittens, and watching the fish. Then we come outside and it is pouring. I am thinking no way. We are going to stay in here until it slows down. But I thought, when did I become such a wimp? So out we went. Holding one baby and the hand of another. We tried running to the car but that didn't work. Remember all the fun you had playing in the rain. And today was the perfect play rain. No lightning or thunder. Just a steady downpour. It brought me back to making paper boats and dancing in the rain when I am way too old to be doing so with my dear friend. The sheets are in the wash and I am so excited to set up my daughter's bed.

Update

A lot of people have been asking so... there is no news :( We made the life book and dropped it off at the agency. There are 3 photo books. One of us, our house, and people close to us. A soft plastic book that she could sleep with of just us and another soft plastic one of our animals. We also dropped off a gift with a book and puppet in it. I don't know if she will like it. I hope she doesn't like flashy electronic toys because she will be disappointed when she comes here. hahah I asked to see her picture again, and man she is gorgeous. I just want to hug her. Now the county just needs to get on the ball and get things moving.
