Backyard fun

So, we tried to campout in our backyard before we braved a real camping trip and I am so glad I did.
Let's just say one little lady did much better than the other.
One little lady was WAY too over stimulated to fall asleep.
The plan was to set the tent up, play in the backyard, "fire pit it", play some more, then sleep with the hubs while I watched Bear inside.
Now you are probably thinking, I chose to stay inside to take it easy and snuggle on my sweet handsome little man.
That is far from the truth.  Well, not far from the truth, I do love to cuddle him. But the hubs does baby night duty.  Actually, I wanted to give the hubs a night off.
I LOVE TO CAMP!

The girls were so excited to unpack and try out their new sleeping bags.

Honey went WILD. She was running and rolling all over the place
Pumpkin was "soo tired" and needed to go to bed without eating.

How happy is this little face! What a sweetie
 Veggie dogs over the fire
The hubs laid the sleeping bags in the wrong direction so they were rolling down the hill.

And when I came out later and checked on him/ them, it was obvious he was having a rough time.
So we traded spots.  Indoors he went and outdoors I went.

And Honey kept going and going and going.
Their bedtime is normally 7pm (they fall asleep around 7:30).
So when 9:30 rolled around It was time to lay down.
Pumpkin did great and fell asleep instantly.
Honey fought it and cried and fought it and cried.
Then finally she was out...
for an hour (or so).  She woke up bright eyed and showed NO signs of going back down.
Around midnight I sent her inside.

Pumpkin did great. Slept like a log until 2am.
She woke up, looked at me and said, "WOW!!! Mom, look it's so eeutiful (beautiful). Look at the stars"
We watched the stars for a couple of minutes and she was out like a light until 7:30 or 8.
(do you love me because I only post the most beautiful pictures of myself?ahha)

I am super super excited that Pumpkin loves camping just as much as I do.  But I am equally sad that Honey is banned from camping until she can do better at focusing.  I hope Bear likes to camp.  But there may be some weekends ahead for Honey at Mimi's while we camp.  Sorry Lovey. Maybe one day when you are older your body will allow you to experience the joy of camping without being over stimulated.
