Well, Stanley has been gone for some time now and we were on a wait list for a PWD puppy. The breeder asked if I wanted to take one of her dogs for two weeks then try another one of her females for two weeks to see which personality I liked more. I didn't need that, I knew that I liked Hailey more, but I thought her offer was so sweet and I really wanted a dog in the home so I said yes. We went to her house and hung out for a while. Here is sweet Hailey.
But first up was Holly. And I fell in love with her on the car ride home. She stayed in my lap the whole way.

She was so sweet.
Did great with Harold.

And was excellent with the girls.
Therapy work with a dog is something I have always been interested in. She truly is the perfect dog for it. She is so sweet. Loves me the most, but will let her others pet her. She doesn't shed, which is ideal for therapy work.

So, I was able to convince the breeder to let me keep her!!!!! AHHH! She is wonderful and we skipped out on the puppy stage. The contracts were signed and she put in there that I wasn't allowed to change her name, which is funny because I probably would have.
A few weeks later the breeder called me and was telling me how sad she was that she couldn't breed her and she really wanted to pass along her temperament. I agreed to let her be bred once since she really is the sweetest and the breeder did me a huge favor by letting me keep her. So in her next heat she will be bred and we will have puppies! I asked the breeder if she could deliver at my house since having her gone for 8 weeks just seems too long and I would miss her. I told her I would be totally willing to bottle feed if needed (I worked at a vet and have bottle fed numerous puppies and kittens). So sometime in the fall we will have 3-8 puppies for a few weeks. That will be so much fun!
