And there she goes

Petunia, covered up in her hospital blanket while the girls watered the flowers in their pjs.

And then one of my BFFs came over to say her goodbye before she left for NYC.
She just got back from China. And we didn't get to spend much time with her.  Between her and Charley, they have a fierce competition on being the most popular/ loved people in our city.

hahhha Pumpkin.

To make things worse, we had to go to a wedding so we didn't get to spend much time together before she left.

I LOVE YOU GIRL! I hope you end back up in our city...eventually.

Getting Petunia

Ok FINALLY!! We get there.
We got the dream call, for us, regarding fostering.  A baby that had a 100% chance of adoption. We were elated.
Of course as the weeks went on we learned our chances of adoption aren't 100%.  I had a panic attack. I just kept thinking about our Sweet Potato.  I was terrified we would have our hearts crushed yet again. After learning that, we decided to open up our private adoption.  Totally thinking we wouldn't get picked immediately, again.  I thought if we were picked we wouldn't have a baby before Petunia's next court date.  I was wrong. These are the pickles I put us in. I know God has a plan and I know He will guide us to what we are supposed to do.

Our sweet Honey the morning after she broke her arm.
She had it wrapped for a week so any swelling could go down before she got her cast.
We put one of The Hubs socks on her arm so she wouldn't unwrap it.

I love this cooky girl.  Here she is feeding Petunia.
Charley came over to meet the new lady.
I don't know how this is the best picture I took of Frankie.

My friend needs help

So, my friend just went under contract with AGCI for their Ethiopian adoption program.  They have been formally accepted, but they need to raise $6000 within a week to get a $2000 discount from father's day.  We all know God can move mountains so lets make this happen. Please visit Heather's blog and donate. Even if it's only $1. $1 can add up really fast.

She has been so wonderful  throughout all of my struggles of losing babies. She has been there with wonderful advice and an open ear.  It's hard to talk to people about adoption when they don't get it.  Heather gets it.  Her and Pete are the sweetest couple I know.  They still call each other adorable pet names and are totally smitten with each other.  Her and Pete started dating 3 months before The Hubs and I met... and it was because of Heather that The Hubs came up to me and asked me to dance.

She has been the only person outside of my parents or in-laws that have taken the girls out together. She was amazing with them and they LOVE Hedder. :)

There is no doubt that they will be wonderful parents and they are SOOOO excited to build their family this way.  Please, please help them..Please go to her blog and in the upper right hand corner there is a donation to Paypal.  If God has adoption in your heart, or if you are a mother, or if you have a heart at all... Please help Heather and Pete bring home their child(ren).
Their child(ren) will be so lucky to call them mom and dad.

If you feel uneasy about donating through paypal leave me your email address and I will forward it to Heather so you guys can work something out.

Saturday hike

It definitely isn't an every Saturday thing like I hoped for, but we do it pretty regularly.  At least as regularly as we can.

Oh man, I love her!

I did not think about the recent rain we had.  I'm pretty sure this was all flooded. It was super sandy and muddy.

This little lady HATES getting dirty.  If you don't feed into it, she gets over it really quickly.
This is definitely a gene she got from the hubs side of the family.

She did a great job of not freaking out.

Our "hike" was rather short due to the mud. So we went to the dog park.
But we got to see the cutest little piglet. And the owner of the pig had the sweetest little chihuahua. Oh it was cute.
But not as cute as this!

I can totally see Pumpkin showing dogs.

Go to Wendy's this weekend

Every Father's Day Weekend is Wendy's Frosty for Foster Care (Not sure what it's actually called).
To help children find their perfect home 50cents of every frosty type treat will go towards helping waiting children in foster care find a loving and permanent home.

PLEASE go to Wendy's this Saturday the 16th or Sunday the 17th and get 1 or 20 frosties.

Amusement Park

I'm going to keep these pictures small because there are a ton.
I told you I was far behind in my posts.  Honey still doesn't have her cast on. And I have since, cut my hair.

Anyway, we had our first visit to the local amusement park, this year.

While Mimi was waiting in line we had a seat and watched the closest roller coaster.
I love Pumpkin's reaction!

After the museum, Honey is "scared" of everything. We were waiting in line for the kids roller coaster.

 Pumpkin and Honey LOVED it!

Then we went into the scary inside ride. Hindsight, that probably was too scary.

Melting my heart one hand-holding at a time.

As we were in line for a ride we spotted Charley and Frankie!!
Seriously, it is amazing how many times we run into them.
And it is always the most fun when we do.
Honey loves Frankie and Pumpkin was chopped liver when they showed up.

Oops, I totally didn't think about the smooshing factor when I put them in there.

I told you, Pumpkin was chopped liver. Honey wouldn't hold her hand and wanted nothing to do with her.
 Thankfully Charley stepped in.

I really love these ladies.
