Honey's date

We took Honey to see Chimpanzee.
Going to see a movie is not her ideal date, but we really wanted to see it and were hoping for the best.

Someone needs to remind me to stop leaving the house with wet hair.

She was up and down nonstop.  After a while I was holding her then it was the hubs turn to lock her down. She fell asleep in his arms instantly.  We weren't even half way through the movie.
I was expecting it to be focused more on adoption.  Since Disney is known for being horribly offensive to adoptive families, I thought this was their way of "redeeming" themselves.
The movie was cute, definitely slower, so it would be better for kids 7+.  But the plot of the story wasn't about adoption.  It was kind of an after thought. (totally my opinion)

Why did I think it was a good idea to dress her grey on grey?

After this, we stopped at our friends house and she was asked to stay for a while.
She stayed hours past her bedtime and had so much fun.

Zoo time

We love when our zoo has concerts.  They are great local bands and it is super fun.
As I was walking in I saw my cousin, her husband, and baby. My aunt was waiting inside for them.
That was a fun run in.

One of my favorite people in the city was there. Brian is WONDERFUL!
And Pumpkin is in love with him.  I think he is her first boyfriend. Sarah better watch out.

 We ran into our neighbors.

Do you remember the little girl that came over when I was doing respite for the older boys? This time
We ran into her and her parents.

We met up with our friends

My cousin's baby. She is my namesake (not intentionally) and she looks just like her dad.

Please look at Penny in this picture. hahahah

fashion advice

This odd bird cracks me up.  She is in her vintage coat (super bummed that our family pictures didn't happen this winter), her "pretty dress" (which is really just her Cinderella pj's), sunglasses, rain boots, and who could forget a leopard measuring tape.

I am hoping for snow this winter and I am really praying she still fits in this coat.

She's back part 2

It took a little while for us to really hang out.  She spent a couple of weeks hanging out with family. Then she had to retake her driving test (everyone was shocked she past on the first go).
But finally we went out.

It was supposed to be a girls night.
But this little lady brought her fiance. They are the cutest couple. I mean it. They are always crazy adorable.

Somehow we ended up at a college party and it was embarrassing... for me anyway. haha
Finally Shannon gave us the go ahead to leave (she drove)
And do what we do best.

DANCE!

I love you gurl. And I am so happy to have you back in the US. Sad your leaving for NYC. But at least you will be with my other best friend.

What to do

I bought a TON of baby boy clothes that I LOVE for our potential son.  I really don't want to return them because they are so cute, but I don't want to keep a ton of clothes that we won't be using. Also, I think walking in there to return everything will be a huge emotional rush.  What would you do?

Also my sister called me today and said one of her friends MIGHT be pregnant.  Obviously if she isn't sure there is no way to hold any hope for us, but still, it did make me more hopeful of everything in general.

Lastly, we just started to do our recert for our foster license.  We have to collect everything we just did for our adoption homestudy. Another fire inspection. We just got fingerprinted. etc

She's back part 1

One of my best friends moved to China for a couple of years to do makeup for a world wide show.  Pumpkin was a teeny tiny baby and she never met Honey or my Sweet Potato.
Aunt Bethany and I were crazy excited.

Honey really loves Bethany.

At this point everyone from her flight had walked by. But she hadn't, so we waited.

Now the girls are over it.  Bethany called it. She went to the bathroom to "freshen up". Shannon is the one person I know that literally takes hours to get ready.
 Our first sighting.

Pumpkin ran up to her to give her a hug.

Honey was resistant. So pumpkin was nudging her along.
Aunt Shannon showing Honey that they have "the same" hair.

I'd rather be sitting on sand

I feel sick to my stomach.  I feel deflated.
I want to sit on a beach with the hubs and the girls.

I want to know what God's plan is.

I called our foster agency to see if they placed the twins. They of course had.  Should we just be fostering? Are we meant to have another baby? Will we have a son?

Really, I just want to be on a beach right about now.
