Christmas #5

Finally, our last Christmas. This was Christmas evening. We usually go over Nonna's house, but my uncle had us over their house to ease the load for her. We were one of the first one's to arrive, so the tv went on and I prayed they wouldn't break anything.
My wonderful grandma/ nonna
Honey loves her Uncle. She always asks for him and lights up as soon as she sees him. Probably because she will get put into someplace she shouldn't be... like a compost bin (didn't happen, but I wouldn't put it past him)

Nonna with my cousin's son.

Pumpkin was really excited to see baby Owen and asked to hold him. It was really sweet.

So we let her hold him.
hahahhahahahhahahah

When we go over my grandma's house, she has this really tacky bird clock that chirps the wrong bird every hour. My girls love it. And seeing that I LOVE toys that make noise, this is what he got the girls for Christmas.

Maybe this time next year we will have a permanent member sitting on that couch.

Christmas #4

This was Christmas morning, with my siblings.
I told my brothers and sister to please not get anything for the girls. They got a ton from us and my in laws, so they really needed nothing. But, they of course got the girls gifts.

I'm really hoping my brother and SIL will have a baby soon. I can't wait for my girls to have cousins, and so far they are the only ones close to making that a reality.

My brother is going to have some interesting kids. He always puts my girls in weird/ unsafe hiding places. Rest assured there were many people standing around them. But my brother has tried to hide them in the garbage, the dryer, who knows where else. But wouldn't you know they are always so excited to see him.
Jumping off.... And my heart starts to beat again.
We were all sitting down talking when I realized Pumpkin was missing, and quiet. I knew right away, she was eating cookies. Sure enough...
All of my grandma's homemade cookies were nibbled on or gone.

Moving along

Checklist:

X Fire inspection
X Fingerprints
X Autobiographies
X Replacing the hubs social security card
Physicals:
X Me
X Honey
X Pumpkin
X Peanut (I don't know if she was needed or not, but better safe than sorry)
The hubs (going Monday)
X Financial statement
Copies of paperwork

We are almost through the first leg of things. We may have a slight hiccup with having two approved home studies open with two different agencies. Both our foster and adoption agencies are looking into this and hoping to find a solution. We do not want to close our adoption homestudy with our foster agency, because we don't want to miss out on a call if Honey's potential sibling(s) were to come into care or if Sweet Potato came back into care, or if there was a miracle and Peanut stayed, OR when we were waiting to be matched if our foster agency got the dream call of straight to pc.
Next up our homestudy

Christmas #3

This was Christmas morning. Christmas really goes to a whole new level when your kids can understand who Santa is. Santa only brings one gift, the rest are from us. We do this because you better believe if the kids are bad Santa won't leave them anything but coal. I am not afraid to go there. hahaha Also, when they are older they won't be too disappointed to learn he's not real. Also, the whole reason we celebrate Christmas is for Christ. Not Santa.
This gate prevented them from digging through their gifts without us.

Santa gave Honey a skateboard and necessary saftey precautions.
Pumpkin got a Cinderella carriage.

I ordered this Nemo hat on etsy and saved it. Her Nemo faze is over and she wasn't too exited about it. Plus, now it's a little small. Bummer.

Honey was über excited for Yo Gabba Gabba
Hugging Muno

I think it's so cute that Honey put her Gabba's in the non existent storage compartment.

After opening all of their presents we were heading out to Gram's house when we realized I didn't put out all of the books.
I couldn't wait to read "Is that your sister". I thought it would talk about the "struggles" of having a sister that didn't look like you. It didn't. It talked and explained about adoption from Foster Care. Can someone please write a Children's book about that? I would buy it :)

Honey's face says, totally overwhelmed.

Impromptu

I forgot that I called the fire station to preform a fire inspection. The chief called me today and said he could come right now. I totally forgot. I asked him for an hour and vacuumed the steps, took a shower and checked the smoke alarms. Thank God I checked them because sometime between the social worker checking them and today, one gave out. I called my neighbor in a panic asking him to run up to the store for me to get batteries. Thankfully he did and 5 minutes later we passed.
