Well, I must have a good eye, because I wanted the pick of the litter, and I got him. We have agreed to not neuter him, since he will be a show dog. A Newfie / Portie breeder really wanted him. One of her Newfie's won Westminster.
So I have never had an intact male... this is going to be interesting. I really didn't want a show dog, but my MIL has shown and placed before, so the breeder really wanted us to have him instead of him going to a breeder/ kennel home.
Things that scare me #1 Albert will hike his leg
#2 He will run off and impregnate some dog down the street
#3 I won't be able to hike with him off leash
#4 He will run away period
#5 He will hump people.
I think all of those are pretty solid reasons. (And please no comments about the benefits of neutering. We picked this dog and we got him. This is what came along with the package)
